
Brief Summary:
As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a critical role in aligning business strategies with enterprise capabilities. This involves driving efficiency and flexibility through technology standardization, reducing complexity, and fostering architectural governance. Your responsibilities will include defining architectural principles, technology standards, and reusable reference architectures, as well as evaluating and planning the future state architecture while ensuring project compliance. Collaboration with executives, departmental management, and project stakeholders is key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align IT strategies with business goals.
Develop and maintain architectural artifacts and guidelines.
Drive the development of architectural principles, technology standards, and guidelines.
Evaluate and define current and target state architecture, transition plans, and roadmaps.
Lead or participate in enterprise vendor and technology selection.
Research industry trends and recommend technologies to stakeholders.
Promote the development of enterprise IT assets and services.
Establish governance structures and participate in governance processes.
Provide architectural guidance and mentoring to project teams.
Contribute to the evolution of enterprise architecture processes.
Ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
Professional enterprise architecture experience is a must.
Extensive experience in developing architectural models across business, information, and application/technical architecture.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools and frameworks.
Experience with product evaluations, multiple programming languages (C#, Java, .NET, C++), and IBM Content Management Systems like FileNet P8 is advantageous.
Knowledge of insurance and financial systems is desirable.
Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
Leadership abilities and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proficiency in messaging, SOA, ESB, EAI principles, and design patterns.
Working knowledge of Web Services, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, and interface design.
Expertise in various products, technologies, platforms, and methodologies.
Familiarity with technical design documentation methodologies and visualization tools like Visio and PowerPoint.
TOGAF or other architectural framework certification preferred.
