Job Title: Salesforce Donor Database Director

Overview:We are seeking an experienced Salesforce professional to oversee donor database operations, ensure data accuracy, and drive strategic improvements in data processes. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team and collaborate across multiple departments to enhance data-driven decision-making and optimize Salesforce capabilities.
Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and current donor data, tracking key information, activities, and reporting.
- Lead and strategize database improvements, focusing on Salesforce (Nonprofit Cloud experience is a plus).
- Oversee configuration and implementation of third-party Salesforce integrations, such as donor platforms, email marketing tools, payment processors, and marketing automation solutions.
- Support stakeholders in leveraging data for strategic initiatives.
- Develop and enhance moves management processes and donor engagement plans.
- Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) to create or update revenue and expense dashboards (preferred but not required).
- Streamline large data imports and exports using tools like Data Loader, Demand Tools, Apsona, or middleware solutions.
- Document processes, create training materials, and ensure up-to-date system guides are available.
- Establish business rules, policies, and best practices to ensure consistent data entry, hygiene, and governance.
- Train users on database usage, integrations, automations, reporting, and business rules.
- Communicate project updates, provide support, and foster collaboration across teams.
- Diagnose and resolve database issues, including performance and data consistency concerns.
- Monitor database performance, optimize speed and efficiency, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies and manage environment transitions.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols, including access controls and data encryption.
- Lead post-implementation training, monitor adoption, and prioritize system enhancements.
- Manage and mentor the database team, ensuring smooth execution of daily operations, imports/exports, reconciliations, and reporting.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Salesforce certification required, with NPSP experience preferred.
- 3-5 years' experience as a Salesforce Administrator, with expertise in database management.
- 3-5 years' experience in team leadership and mentorship.
- Experience in managing data operations; nonprofit experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Salesforce data tools and Excel.
- Strong project management skills with experience using tools like Jira or Asana.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with moves management and donor engagement processes.
